“In a year’s time after taking the RNPA Learning Intensive, my career, my health, my family, my very life has been transformed. I am forever grateful” — Karen DiMarco, RN, iRNPA

“My experience attending the iRNPA program was a refreshing one, to say the least. This program was packed with life changing information that is not readily taught or available to RN's. This program equipped me with the tools I need to be an iRNPA! If you are ready for a change after working for many years in the clinical setting, and are driven to help patients and families, this is the program for you! Karen is a wealth of knowledge that is unmatched in the advocacy process.” — Jamie Long
“Thank you so much for putting together such an incredible RN PA intensive course! It is truly intensive but so worth it! I learned a lot and will be using the Medical Time Line and lab spreadsheet with as many clients as i can. All great information and can’t wait to get my speaking engagements lined up now that I have your fantastic power points!” — Nan Wetherhorn, Health Care Advisor, www.healthcareadvisornan.com
I have been a nurse for over 33 years. My nursing career includes an extensive critical care background (including medical and cardiac care), medical, surgical, nursing education, nursing administration, and nurse case management. I received both my BSN and MSN degrees from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.
I have a post graduate certification in Evidence Based Practice from ASU and am certified nurse case manager. I received a certificate as an independent RN Patient Advocate (iRNPA) from the University of Arizona.
In my experience as a registered nurse I have cared for numerous patients with complex medical diagnosis and chronic diseases. I have extensive experience in many different clinical areas including critical care, medical/surgical areas, clinics, etc.. I am experienced with assuring that patients have coordinated care, are knowledgeable about their diagnosis and can navigate the healthcare system.
It has been my experience as an RN for over 30 years that patients/families/caregivers benefit when all members of the healthcare team communicate, understand, and focus on the needs of the patient.
Unfortunately, due to the many demands placed on the members of the healthcare team, communication does not occur and patient’s needs are not met. For patients dealing with a new or complex medical diagnosis requiring a number of different medical specialties this leads to frustration, confusion and affects achieving their best level of health.
I will place your healthcare first, assuring communication between you and your healthcare team, providing education so that you can make the best decisions for your health, guiding you to be an advocate for your best health, reviewing your records to assure no vital information has been overlooked, assist you with identifying the best healthcare providers and services are in place for your healthcare. I will help you from diagnosis to achieving your best level of wellness.
