RNPA Intensive - Learning Experience

“In a year’s time after taking the RNPA Learning Intensive, my career, my health, my family, my very life has been transformed. I am forever grateful” — Karen DiMarco, RN, iRNPA

“The way of the future of nursing...an absolute must if you want to make and be the difference in righting the wrongs of healthcare. Kare is a wonderful mentor who has put her soul into this program. Passion, Vision, Perseverance.” — Lana Benton, RN, iRNPA

“The forethought, experience, openness, philosophy and preparation provides all the tools, thought process, and confidence to begin and succeed as an iRNPA.” — Leta Gill, RN, iRNPA

“My experience attending the iRNPA program was a refreshing one, to say the least. This program was packed with life changing information that is not readily taught or available to RN's. This program equipped me with the tools I need to be an iRNPA!  If you are ready for a change after working for many years in the clinical setting, and are driven to help patients and families, this is the program for you!  Karen is a wealth of knowledge that is unmatched in the advocacy process.” — Jamie Long

“Thank you so much for putting together such an incredible RN PA intensive course!  It is truly intensive but so worth it!  I learned a lot and will be using the Medical Time Line and lab spreadsheet with as many clients as i can.  All great information and can’t wait to get my speaking engagements lined up now that I have your fantastic power points!” —  Nan Wetherhorn, Health Care Advisor, www.healthcareadvisornan.com

About Me

In my more than 25 years in working as a clinical nurse at a major university hospital, I have a solid foundation in understanding healthcare from all perspectives, including the perspective of the patient and all service providers. Having worked in the neonatal intensive care, pediatric, and adult settings, I am aware that collaboration is the key to a successful patient outcome in any setting. Listening and educating patients and families are the beginning of the collaboration process.

As an independent Registered Nurse Patient Advocate (iRNPA), I facilitate a patient’s personal experience as they journey through the healthcare maze, bringing my passion for nursing to life. By working with patients to create a team they trust, my goal is to build a strong foundation that truly supports them as they face a healthcare situation. I am an excellent communicator that is not afraid to speak up and an even better listener that puts patients’ fears to rest.

Personal Statement

I am devoted to assist patients in finding a voice that can be heard, enabling them to receive the individual care they deserve.  Gone are the days where one doctor magically cared for his patients, physically, mentally, and emotionally in their home. Welcome to our current healthcare quandary that is much less than magical. It is my passion to help patients obtain the personalized care they are worthy of receiving in this day and time. Through support and ongoing collaboration, I strive to obtain the most comprehensive care for patients as they navigate through the healthcare paradigm. My vision is to aid people wanting to achieve health, whether it’s in response to a health crisis or a desire to improve wellness and quality of life.
